Warranty Overview

SLOTDOG is committed to delivering precision, performance, and peace of mind. Every SLOTDOG "Hot Dog Slicing Tool" is backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in materials and craftsmanship.

  • Duration: Valid for the production lifetime of the product, ceasing upon the manufacturer’s end of production and sale.
  • Eligibility: Applies only if used for its intended purpose and maintained according to the care guidelines on the original packaging.
  • Ownership: This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original owner.
  • Inspection: If you feel your product qualifies, we reserve the right to inspect it via submitted photos or physical return.

Intended Use Restriction

SLOTDOG products are solely intended for use with skinless hot dogs at a temperature between 33–38°F. Any other use outside of this intended purpose—including use on other food items—is not covered by this warranty.

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Accidental damage, falls, misuse, or product abuse.
  • Acts of God (e.g., fire, flood).
  • Improper storage or cutting non-food materials.
  • Neglect or theft.
  • Improper use of sharpening tools.
  • Broken tips or chips on the blades.
  • Rust, discoloration, or damage from prolonged moisture exposure.
  • Commercial use.
  • Failure to adhere to care guidelines (e.g., placing the item in the bottom rack of a dishwasher, or using heated/assisted dry features).

How to File a Claim

1. Prepare Your Information

Please have the following ready before contacting customer service:

  • Contact Info: Your full name, mailing address, and phone number.
  • Product Info: A description of the issue and the item UPC (found on the original package).
  • Proof of Purchase: A receipt or your order number/confirmation.
  • Photos: High-resolution photos showing the issue in detail, plus a full image of the entire tool.

2. Contact Customer Service

Contact us to assess your claim and begin the process. If approved, we will issue a mandatory Return Authorization (RA) number.

  • Hours: Monitored Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm EST.

3. Shipping Instructions

  • RA Requirement: Do not send your product back without receiving an RA number first.
  • Packing: To comply with US Postal regulations, items must be wrapped securely to protect points and edges from cutting through the box or padded envelope.
  • Carrier: Use the shipping carrier of your choice. We recommend insuring your package and using tracking for your protection.
  • In-Box Requirement: Print your confirmation email containing the RA number and place it inside the shipping box with the product.

What Happens Next?

  • Timeline: Please allow 4–6 weeks for the inspection process and return delivery.
  • Remedy: If eligible, SLOTDOG will replace your product. We do not offer repairs of any kind.
  • Discontinued Items: If your item is out of stock or discontinued, we will offer a comparative item in quality and cost.
  • Personal Items: Do not include any personal items in the shipment; they will be discarded.

International Claims

If you are located outside the U.S. or purchased your item through an Amazon international account, you are responsible for all shipping, customs, and duty fees related to your claim. SLOTDOG is unable to cover international shipping or customs costs for warranty replacements.

Legal & Liability Terms

Important Liability Limitations

  • Scope: Our responsibility for defective products is strictly limited to replacement as set forth in this warranty statement. No oral or written information, statement, or advice provided by us, our agents, or employees will create a warranty or increase the scope of this limited warranty.
  • Remedies: The remedies described above are your sole and exclusive remedies, and constitute our entire liability for any breach.
  • Maximum Liability: Our liability will under no circumstances exceed the actual amount paid by you for the defective product.
  • Damages: We are under no circumstances liable for any consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages or losses, whether direct or indirect. (Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation may not apply to you).

Legal Disclaimer

This warranty replaces all other express warranties. Any implied warranties, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of this warranty. This warranty gives you specific legal rights; you may also have other rights depending on your area.

Arbitration and Dispute Resolution

As per the Terms of Service, any dispute or claim related to this Limited Warranty will be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except for qualifying small claims.

The Federal Arbitration Act and federal arbitration law apply. Proceedings will be conducted confidentially by a single arbitrator in accordance with the Canadian Arbitration Association (CAA) rules.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted strictly on an individual basis—not as a class, consolidated, or representative action. Both you and SLOTDOG waive objections based on personal jurisdiction, place of residence, improper venue, or forum non-conveniens, and agree to forgo a jury trial.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

All matters arising out of or relating to this warranty are governed by and construed in accordance with the internal laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without giving effect to any choice or conflict of law provision or rule that would cause the application of the laws of any other jurisdiction.
